A look back at the CRADLE-ALP Interreg project meeting

We have just concluded two rewarding days where we were able to welcome, in Clermont-Ferrand and Lyon, our European partners in the CRADLE-ALP Interreg project.

What is the CRADLE-ALP project?

This project aims to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for the circular economy in the Alpine region. The aim is to create an environment where businesses can access tools and knowledge to adopt more sustainable and circular practices, through "cradle to cradle".

First day in Clermont-Ferrand

The first day began in Clermont-Ferrand on 16 July, where we had the opportunity to visit two sites:

  • Carbios: A pioneering company in the field of enzymatic plastics recycling, we were impressed by their technological advances and their commitment to a more sustainable future. We were lucky enough to visit their industrial demonstrator dedicated to plastics and textiles
  • CMD (Centre for Materials and Durability): We then discovered the CMD and Michelin's work on advanced materials and their contribution to industrial sustainability, thanks in particular to the renovation of industrial buildings that will soon be home to innovative companies who, like Carbios, want to set up their demonstrator and take their innovation to the next level!

Second day in Lyon

On 17 July, we met in Lyon to continue our discussions on the progress of the project. Fruitful discussions were held on the pilot activities that will be implemented in the coming weeks to support SMEs in their circular transition. We also had the opportunity to interview several of our partners, whose ideas and perspectives are essential to the success of the project!

The two days were a source of inspiration and motivation for all the participants. Many thanks to all the partners for their valuable contributions and commitment !

We look forward to continuing to work to advance the circular economy in the Alpine region and beyond.
