A look back at the latest Rendez-Vous Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in Brussels on advanced materials!
 
It's now been a month since the 2024 edition of the Rendez-Vous Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in Brussels came to a close, an initiative that once again confirms the commitment of regional players to promoting areas of excellence on the European stage. This year, the focus was on advanced materials in the plastics and chemicals industries, illustrating the strategic importance of this sector for the future of industry.
 
A structuring event for the region
 
In collaboration with the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Entreprises, Axelera, Infra2050 and Flanders Investment & Trade, a delegation of companies and academic bodies were able to exchange, learn and draw inspiration from European best practices. The dual aim of this year's event was to
 
  • Strengthen the network of regional economic players in Brussels, at the heart of European decision-making;
  • Promote the structuring projects and areas of excellence promoted by regional players.

MASSEBEUF Textiles launches the ORATEX platform

MASSEBEUF Textiles, a major player in milling in the Drôme-Ardèche region, announces the launch of the “ORATEX: from molecule to transformed yarn” platform. This ambitious project, in partnership with the Institut Français du Textile et de l'Habillement (IFTH) and TECHTERA, the textile industry's dedicated competitiveness cluster, aims to strengthen the textile industry in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and consolidate its position on national and international markets. ORATEX, accredited by the POLYMERIS cluster, is financed by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and the French government as part of the France2030 plan.

Meet our members at FAKUMA 2024

Fakuma is a world-renowned trade fair for the plastics industry. We look forward to welcoming you to the Friedrichshafen exhibition center from October 15 to 19, 2024. Over 1,600 exhibitors will be presenting their international offerings at the world's leading technical event for industrial plastics processing.
 
The 28th edition of the show promises to promote new innovations in many fields. The show is considered a technological barometer in the fields of injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming, presses, molds and 3D printing. This year's flagship event will once again focus on the challenges of digitization, process automation, energy efficiency and the circular economy. Another key objective for Fakuma is to showcase plastics processing in the smart-grid factory of tomorrow.
 
Fakuma 2024 will once again demonstrate that the highly complex subject of plastics can be integrated with climate protection and the circular economy, and is future-oriented.

A look back at the CRADLE-ALP Interreg project meeting

We have just concluded two rewarding days where we were able to welcome, in Clermont-Ferrand and Lyon, our European partners in the CRADLE-ALP Interreg project.

What is the CRADLE-ALP project?

This project aims to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for the circular economy in the Alpine region. The aim is to create an environment where businesses can access tools and knowledge to adopt more sustainable and circular practices, through "cradle to cradle".

New governance for POLYMERIS

The Annual General Meeting on June 4, held in conjunction with the FIP trade show at Groupama Stadium, was attended by 250 shareholders, including 120 in person, to mark an important turning point in the governance of Polymeris.
 
Strengthening and continuity of governance
At the meeting, the Board of Directors elected a new governance structure. Joël Viry, head of his new company WiPack, was appointed Chairman, inaugurating a mandate focused on innovation, sustainable development and the notion of multi-materials. The new board is made up of 14 members, representing various Polymeris innovation sectors and covering the cluster's major priority issues: support for SMEs, academic collaboration, circular economy, green chemistry and advanced materials (rubbers, plastics, composites).

PLAIRE works on high-performance recycled plastics

A regional consortium has just received a grant from France 2030 to develop new materials based on recycled plastics.
 
Labelled Techtera - Polymeris, the PLAIRE multi-partner project has just received 990,000 euros from France 2030. The consortium comprises four entities from the Aurhalp region. The project initiator is Cycl-Add (Maillat / Ain), an SME founded in 2016, which markets recycled plastics (mainly polypropylene and polyamide) using a process that supplies 100% recycled materials, including additives. The company is supported by a parent company, CRE-ADD, which includes a design office (Creastuce). Cycl-Add has in-house skills in eco-design and life-cycle analysis.
