Launch of the Value4Pack project
We are pleased to announce the launch of the European Value4pack project, the first project proposal of the European S3 Food Packaging Partnership, which began on November 1, 2023!
Value4Pack aims to strengthen the capacity, competitiveness and resilience of players in the European food packaging value chain. The aim is to create a resilient inter-regional ecosystem between the relevant penta-helix players in the regions concerned (manufacturers, research institutes, investors, regional authorities, consumers and NGOs). Through these cooperations, Value4Pack will enable companies in the food packaging value chain to develop their capacity to engage in inter-regional innovation projects, develop business ideas and make concrete inter-regional innovation investments for resilient solutions. Value4Pack will thus play an active part in achieving the European resilience targets envisaged by 2030.
Project information
The Value4Pack project is an inter-regional innovation investment project (I3) funded by the European S3 Food Packaging Partnership, with a total budget of 1.4 million euros for a total duration of 2 years. The project is coordinated by Natureef and involves 15 partner clusters, including Polymeris, from 11 different countries, representing 29 European regions.
Value4Pack partners met on December 4 and 5, 2023 in Szczecin, Poland, for the kick-off meeting of the project and its activities. Partners were warmly welcomed to organize the project!
Polymeris' role in the project
As a partner in the Value4Pack project, Polymeris brings a focused perspective to the packaging industry. The cluster will actively contribute to the creation of an inter-regional ecosystem, mapping and comparing the penta-helix players in the EU food packaging value chains within the framework of the project. The focus will be on promoting innovation, identifying challenges, developing regional roadmaps and sharing best practices in order to :
- Connecting SMEs to European food packaging value chains
- Connecting less-developed regions to developed ones
With specialized expertise in packaging ecosystem development and innovation projects, Polymeris is delighted to be involved in the Value4Pack project to promote sustainability and foster resilience in the European food packaging value chain.
