Polymeris is a partner of the European Interreg Alpin Space project: Cradle Alp. Launched in November 2022 for a period of 3 years, this project aims to disseminate and raise awareness of the "Cradle to Cradle" (C2C) circular economy approach among economic and political actors in the Alpine region.
Cradle to Cradle is a concept developed in 1990 by Prof. Dr. Michael Braungart, William McDonough and EPEA Hamburg. It comprises a set of eco-design principles aimed at reducing the negative environmental impact of economic activity by introducing circular value chains. In the framework of the Cradle Alp project, these eco-design principles will be tested on pilot groups composed of companies and experts in circular economy from 5 industrial sectors: polymers, wood, chemistry/materials, textiles and packaging.
Cradle Alp brings together 9 partners from 6 European countries in the Alpine region (Italy, France, Slovenia, Germany, Switzerland and Austria). This project is funded by the European Union within the framework of the Interreg Alpine Space 2021-2027 program.
