Cradle-ALP: Online workshops on textile circularity in Europe

As part of the European Interreg Cradle-ALP project, the partners are organizing a series of online workshops on the circular transformation of the Textile industry in the European Alpine Space (France, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Northern Italy and Switzerland), focusing on technical textiles.
 
This series of workshops will bring together companies, academics and public players to delve deeper into the crucial issues and drivers that will contribute to the transformation of the technical textiles industry in the Alpine region. The aim is to work together to establish a transformation roadmap to encourage sustainable and circular production of textiles, and to support the industry in adopting circular economy models.

ZEvRA Project Embarks on a Groundbreaking Journey towards Zero Emission Road Transport

The European Commission's commitment to circularity in automotive

In line with the European Commission's aim to achieve zero CO2 emissions by 2035, ZEvRA, a research initiative funded under Horizon Europe, has officially commenced its mission to revolutionise the circularity of light-duty Electric Vehicles (EVs). With 28 partners from 13 countries, the consortium seeks to reshape the entire EV value chain from raw materials to end-of-life processes.

Running from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2026, the project boasts €11.4 million in grant funding, including support from Northumbria University, UK. The collaborative effort, led by 28 partners, targets sustainability improvements in materials, production processes, and end-of-life considerations for EVs.

Discover the 25 polymer waste recycling projects funded by POLREC

The first call for projects launched as part of the European POLREC project coordinated by Polymeris rewarded 25 polymer waste recycling projects led by European SMEs, including 9 from France. The aim of the call was to fund new, innovative polymer recycling processes, with a total budget of €660,00.
 
Of the 25 projects rewarded, 13 focused on mechanical recycling, 8 on chemical recycling and 4 on digitization. Find out more about the funded projects and their ambitions below:

Launch of the European ZEvRA project

The European Commission's declared aim is to achieve 0 CO2 emissions by 2035, particularly in the electric vehicle value chain. Consequently, the Horizon Europe ZEvRA research project (28 partners from 13 countries, running from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026, €11.4 million grant, G.A. n° 101138034) aims to improve the circularity of light electric vehicles along their entire value chain, from materials sourcing and manufacturing to end-of-life processes. Polymeris is one of the 28 partners in the consortium.

Launch of the European Value4Pack project

We are pleased to announce the launch of the European Value4pack project, the first project proposal of the European S3 Food Packaging Partnership, which began on November 1, 2023!

Value4Pack aims to strengthen the capacity, competitiveness and resilience of players in the European food packaging value chain. The aim is to create a resilient inter-regional ecosystem between relevant penta-helix players in the regions concerned (manufacturers, research institutes, investors, regional authorities, consumers and NGOs).

Polymeris strengthens its partnerships in Europe: three new European intercluster projects to stimulate collaboration and innovation.

Polymeris kicks off the new year with the launch of three Europe-wide interclustering projects: Value4Pack, IDEALIST and GreenSmartMed. These projects position Polymeris at the heart of innovation and transnational collaboration for the next three years. They will enable the cluster to develop and strengthen its partnerships in Europe and deploy new services and expertise for the benefit of its members.

INCIRCULAR - INtegrating Cybernated Innovation to Raise the scale of Circular Units Looping Allied Regions

The European project INCIRCULAR - INtegrating Cybernated Innovation to Raise the scale of Circular Units Looping Allied Regions - funded by Horizon Europe began on October 1, 2023 and will run for 3 years.

The INCIRCULAR project aims to unleash the innovation potential of European regions in the plastics circular economy, thanks in particular to a cascade funding system. Indeed, innovative solutions are needed to produce new types of environmentally-friendly plastics while offering technical properties and costs similar to those of petroleum-based plastics currently on the market.
