Polymeris celebrates its 20th anniversary!

In 2025, Polymeris, a competitiveness cluster dedicated to rubber, plastics, and composites, will celebrate 20 years of innovation in the service of sustainable transformation in the industry.

With a multiplex broadcast from Oyonnax (01), Charbonnières-les-Bains (69), Orléans (45), Dijon (21), Bordeaux (33), and Vitry-sur-Seine (94), Polymeris' Anniversary General Meeting brought together more than 200 participants across the six sites. It was an opportunity to reaffirm its key role in supporting innovation projects towards a greener, more digital, and more sovereign industry, while consolidating its position as a European leader in advanced materials.

NEXTFOODPACK kick-off meeting on March 21, 2025 in Dijon

The NEXTFOODPACK project aims to develop a systemic methodology and fundamental knowledge for the integrated design and assessment of packaging to meet a number of requirements in terms of chemical safety, microbiological safety, adaptation to new situations of use and compatibility with end-of-life treatment and recovery.

The innovative approach of the NEXTFOODPACK project goes beyond material substitution, re-imagining the entire packaging life cycle from production to end-of-life, ensuring that each phase respects sustainability principles. Eventually, it will offer a multi-criteria evaluation tool (food safety, use, recycling) to facilitate decision-making.

Following the commitments of PIA 4, France 2030, with a budget of 54 billion euros, was initiated in 2021 by the President of the Republic. Its objectives are to help decarbonization and the emergence of new players.
