SimForm, a MAYA HTT application, is hosting a webinar in collaboration with Polymeris on the use of conformal cooling in plastic injection.
When used for conformal cooling in plastic injection molding, 3D printing offers great design freedom. This freedom enables designers to develop highly efficient thermal control networks. However, these advantages are often associated with higher manufacturing and design costs, as designers can spend weeks adjusting cooling channels.
This webinar will explore strategies and tools, including SimForm, an advanced thermal simulation application, to help tool designers and tooling managers maximize the benefits of 3D printing while minimizing manufacturing and design costs.
Topics covered:
- 3D printing applied to plastic injection moulding
- Advantages and disadvantages of conformal cooling
- Tools and methods for building a business case and facilitating the adoption of conformal cooling
Biography:
Arnaud Divialle holds an engineering degree from the École des Arts & Métiers and a master's degree from the École Polytechnique de Montréal (Canada). With over 10 years' experience in the aerospace industry, he has held various positions, notably in the development of new products and manufacturing processes (such as plastic and metal additive manufacturing and structural composites). He has also been involved in various Industry 4.0 and computer vision projects.
In 2019, Mr. Divialle joined Maya HTT as Innovation Director. In this role, he participates in the development of new products by carrying out market research, product/market fit analysis, customer research and by developing marketing and sales strategies. In this context, he was directly involved in the set-up, development, launch and marketing of SimForm, the brand-new digital simulation solution dedicated to plastic injection molding.
